FAQ: Can I stop using the click torque wrench for preloading after acquiring PiezoClamping® for converters assembly with prestress control?

We recommend for you to keep using a click torque wrench in association with the PiezoClamping® to protect the bolt if it gets stuck because of thread damage or contaminants. Set the torque wrench to 120 % of the average torque required to achieve the target prestress. If you have a click, it means it was necessary too much torque to achieve the prestress target indicating that something is wrong with the bolt threads.
